Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliott made a clutch 59 yard field goal to send Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills into overtime.
Elliott was named Special Teams Player of the Week. The Eagles defeated the Bills 37-34 for their NFL best 10th win. Elliott’s game saving kick made it possible.
This was the third Special Teams Player of the Week award this season and the sixth of his career.
Elliott has made 6 of 7 field goal attempts from 50 yards or more this season. He has made 4 of 4 attempts from 58-plus yards.
The 28 year-old Elliott has been with the Eagles since 2017. He was a fifth round draft pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2017. The Eagles signed him off the Bengals practice squad in September of that year.
Elliott won a Super Bowl championship with the Eagles in 2017. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2021.
