Eagles had many positive performances in preseason loss

The Eagles lose the opener to the Jets 24-21. Preseason wins or losses don’t matter. It’s all about players getting in work. The Eagles first units on offense and defense looked really good as they jumped out to 14-0 start. QB Jalen Hurts led the Eagles on a great opening drive topped off by a 22 yard touchdown pass to TE Dallas Goedert. He went a perfect 6 of 6 for 80 yards. Hurts looked poised and sharp while engineering the opening drive. The only negative is was when he received a dirty hit by Quincy Williams, who hit him after he was already out of bounds. Free Agent LB Kyzir White picked off Jets QB Zach Wilson on the Jets opening drive. The Eagles top three draft picks looked good. 1st round pick Jordan Davis looked very dominant. He is going to cause problems for opposing offenses. 2nd round pick Cam Jurgens filled in with the first team at center in place of Jason Kelce. Jurgens looked quick and physical. 3rd pick Nakobe Dean had 5 tackles and played physical. The Eagles are a talented football team and this a positive outing despite the final score.
