Eagles GM wishes that he picked Justin Jefferson

Written by Tony Ghaul

Philadelphia Eagles GM Howie Roseman said on 94.1 Sports Radio on WIP says he wishes he had that moment back where the Eagles took Jalen Reagor over Justin Jefferson. He says one key lesson that he learned was to pick the best player as opposed to picking a player for a role.

The Eagles in the 2020 NFL draft, with a glaring need at WR, selected Jalen Reagor with the 21st pick. Justin Jefferson was the highest rated WR on the board, as per all the draft experts and analysts. The Minnesota Vikings, who were seen on the video laughing about the Eagles selection, wasted no time to pick Justin Jefferson with the 22nd pick.

Justin Jefferson has gone on to catch 196 passes for 3,016 yards in his first two seasons with Minnesota. Meanwhile, Reagor has had a meager 64 receptions for 695 yards in his first two years. It is safe to say that the Eagles made a big mistake. It’s very surprising to hear Howie Roseman admit it.

Ironically, the Eagles traded Reagor to the Vikings last Wednesday.
