Eagles claimed former 49ers’ RB Trey Sermon on waivers, per Adam Schefter.

Sermon came into the NFL with a lot of hype after being a third-round pick of San Francisco in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Ohio State. In nine games he played, he rushed for 167 yards and a touchdown while catching three of his four targets for 26 yards.

Trey Sermon was a bad fit for the wide zone 49ers running schemes. He is a between the tackles runner. He is perfect for the Eagles. He can fill the role that Jordan Howard had last season.

Eagles GM Howie Roseman continues to make great moves. This has been a brilliant off-season by the Eagles GM.
