The Philadelphia Eagles are signing former Steelers and Jets punter Braden Mann to their practice squad, as per Adam Caplan.
The Eagles have said that their punting position in an ongoing competition. Mann had recently worked for the Eagles.
The Eagles currently don’t have a punter on their active roster. Arryn Siposs is on the practice squad and has been elevated for the first two games.
Last season for the New York Jets, Mann had 83 punts for an average of 46.9 yards per punt. He was selected Mann in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Mann was claimed off waivers by the Pittsburgh Steelers on April 17 and they waived him on August 30.
A star at Texas A&M, Mann received unanimous All-American honors and won the Ray Guy Award as the nation’s top collegiate punter as a junior.
