Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Head Coach Nick Sirianni said every member of the 53-man roster would practice in some capacity ahead of this weekend’s game against San Francisco.

Slot cornerback Avonte Maddox will practice at Wednesday’s walkthrough. This practice will tell a lot about his status for Sunday.

Maddox last played in Week 16’s loss to Dallas. He suffered a significant toe injury that caused him to miss the final two regular season games and the divisional round win over the Giants.

Maddox’s return would allow C.J. Gardner-Johnson to return to his safety position. Rookie Reid Blankenship filled in at safety.

If Maddox comes back, defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon will have to decide who to play where. Blankenship has been very good, and it would be hard to take him off the field. But however you look at it, getting Maddox back would be huge.
