It has been reported that Drew Gulak, who recently let his WWE contract expire, worked this week’s Smackdown taping. This news was first reported by Fightful Select. Gulak will be appearing in a battle royal, and his recent contract issue will supposedly not be mentioned on commentary. Fightful Select, however, had no update on if he had signed a new contract.

Drew Gulak’s most recent WWE appearance came on the May 15th episode of Smackdown, losing to his friend and training partner Daniel Bryan in the first round of the tournament to crown a new Intercontinental Champion. Soon after his match, it was reported that Drew Gulak would be exiting WWE, as he did not resign. WWE soon confirmed that information, and Gulak has not been heard of since.

Not long after Fightful Select’s report, Drew Gulak appeared back on the Current Roster page of WWE.com. This would indicate that Gulak did sign a new contract, but nothing has been officially announced.

Are you excited to see Drew Gulak potentially return to WWE? If he does, what would you like to see him do going forward?
