Written by Jeffrey Iafrate

Former Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Peterson is reportedly leaning towards taking the year off and to get ready for next season. Since he was fired, Peterson hasn’t generated much interest on the market, only interviewing for the Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator job. Pederson told Les Bowen, who’s a reporter for the Philadelphia Inquirer, in a text that he’s “leaning toward taking the next year off and preparing for next season.

Doug Peterson was fired after an unsuccessful season with the Eagles after leading the team to the franchises third Super Bowl in 2018. We’ll see if any coaching vacancies open up to give Peterson an opportunity, but time will only tell.
