Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa has been having a breakout season. Through 11 games, he’s thrown for 3,004 yards with 22 touchdowns against 5 interceptions.

Tagovailoa was not at his best on Sunday Night Football in a 23-17 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. In fact, he was historically bad. Tua completed 10 of 28 passes for 145 yards with 1 touchdown pass.

As per NextGenStats, Tagovailoa was 3 of 13 passing with at least 2.5 seconds to throw. That is the worst completion percentage by any player in a game on those throws this season. Going 3-13 on plays where Tagovailoa has plenty of time to throw is just putrid. He missed a wide open Tyreek Hill downfield.

Tua will get his chance to bounce back next week in Buffalo with huge AFC East implications on the line.
