Dodgers Select NCAA QB DJ Uiagalelei In MLB Draft

Written by Tony Ghaul

The Los Angeles Dodgers selected former Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei with their final pick in the 2023 MLB Draft. He was the No. 610 overall selection in the 20th round.

Uiagalelei transferred from Clemson to Oregon State for the 2023 season. He is listed as a two-way player for the Dodgers.

The 22-year-old Uiagalelei hasn’t played baseball since high school. He played high school baseball for St. John Bosco in California.

Uiagalelei followed Clemson great Trevor Lawrence as the Tigers starting QB. His career at Clemson never lived up to expectations.

If Uiagalelei is unable to turn his football career around at Oregon State, maybe he will turn to Pro baseball.
