DJ Chark Heading to Detroit for One-Year Deal

After having one of the worst wide receiver rooms in the NFL last season, the Detroit Lions have added one to a deal thus far.

Via a thread post by Adam Schefter on Twitter, the Lions are expected to sign receiver DJ Chark to a one-year deal worth up to $12 million.

Coming off what had been a chaotic season with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021, Chark caught only seven passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns in only four games played.

The former 2019 Pro Bowl and LSU second-round pick will be joining the young, but growing corps of receivers for quarterback Jared Goff, which includes Amon-ra St Brown, Josh Reynolds, Tom Kennedy and tight ends TJ Hockenson and Brock Wright.

Even with Chark signing, look for Detroit to add a couple more wide receivers in the 2022 draft to join the receiving group.
