There is always speculation with a high draft pick that a team might trade back especially if they’re not sure what player they need. That’s where we might be with the Detroit Lions. They might be trading back but have they yet? No. As of now they still hold the #2 overall pick.
Rumors are going around that the Lions might make a play on Deebo Samuel. According to ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, the New York Jets are that frontrunner. He added that the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions are interested too.
Lions fans are sure hoping that he ends up in Detroit and not a weapon for Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay:

Lions quarterback Jared Goff was asked about bringing Deebo to Detroit:
“Of course. He’s a great player and one of the best in the league. Yeah. Not up to me,” Goff said. “You guys have to ask Brad (Holmes) all these questions. You know, not for me.”
As of now there has been no trade made. What will Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes decide to do?
