The third baseman could have just closed a chapter in his career as he has a 20 million dollar option for next season. Speaking to reporters Seager had this to say.
If this truly is the end for Seager in a Mariner uniform he will be sorely missed as he is a huge fan favorite. Seager ranks 4th in hits, HR, and RBI’s in franchise history. He hit 35 HR’s while driving in 100 runs this season which contributed to Seattle playing meaningful games up until game 162.
He is loved by the City and fanbase for what he has brought to them. He stayed when a lot of people left and his efforts should never go unnoticed and won’t for Seattle fans. One heck of a special player that kept his head down and gave it his all in a Mariner uniform and for that, Seattle will always be a home for him.
