Dez Bryant You’re No Longer The Number One Receiver

Written by TrevStone

Today Dallas Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones announced that the team would be more than likely bringing  WR Dez Bryant back. Bryant is heading into his ninth year in the NFL, all with the Cowboys. Bryant is no longer “what he once was” as he continues to have lower numbers each year.

Bryant is also set to make $12.5 million and count $16.5 million against the salary cap in 2018.  There are options available in the draft as well.

Well we can start here, this is why you’re not elite Dez:

  1. You haven’t had a season with over 1,000 receiving yards since 2014.
  2. No games over 100 receiving yards in 2017.
  3. You’ve continued to complain throughout your entire career.
  4. You don’t care about the Cowboys Franchise, you only care about yourself.
  5. You won’t take a pay cut.
  6. You drop a lot of balls. Tons of balls.

Check out his numbers:

No, I’m not bashing Dez! Well I kind of am. Its just time for him and the Cowboys to realize that he’s a number two.

But who will be the number one receiver? It can’t be Terrance Williams as he failed to score a touchdown all of last season.

Will they look in the Draft? Let’s check out some of the options.

They’re meeting with former Alabama star, Calvin Ridley at the NFL Combine.

But Cowboys fans, the former college star will more than likely not be available at pick number 19. So for the Cowboys they’d have to trade up to get Ridley.

Could it be Courtland Sutton? The kid who grew up a Dallas Cowboys fan?

The Dallas Cowboys also met with Equanimeous St. Brown:

There are a couple of options available for the Cowboys. Personally, if Dez isn’t going to take a pay cut then why spend the money. He doesn’t have enough respect for the Franchise. And he continues to disappoint fans, it seems like anytime he catches a first-down now its a highlight now.

Should the Cowboys bring Dez back? Do you agree with me? Or not? Leave your opinion in the comments!
