Devin White Listed As Out For Eagles Season Opener

Philadelphia Eagles LB Devin White will miss the team’s season opening game Friday against the Green Bay Packers in Brazil with an ankle injury.

The Eagles said that White will not travel with the team to São Paulo. The Eagles leave for Brazil today.

The Eagles are expected to start Nakobe Dean as their starting MIKE linebacker. Dean is coming off a great preseason and training camp.

The Eagles selected Dean in the third round of the 2022 NFL draft. He began last season as the starting MIKE linebacker, but missed most of the year with injuries.

Zack Baun and rookie Jeremiah Trotter Jr. Will likely see time at the other off ball LB spot.

The Eagles signed White in Free Agency. He was let go by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who selected fifth overall pick out of LSU in 2019. White and was a Pro Bowl selection in his third season.

The Eagles and Packers will play the NFL’s first-ever game Friday night in South America. The game will be streamed exclusively on Peacock and air in the Philadelphia region on NBC10. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET.
