Devin Booker Buries The Dallas Mavericks With Game Winner

Written by Jeffrey Iafrate

The Phoenix Suns beat the Dallas Mavericks Tuesday night when Devin Booker drained a contested three pointer over Josh Richardson to win 109-108. The Dallas Mavericks have been losing as of late since getting back Porzingis from injury. The shot Devin hit was his fifth go-ahead shot of his young career he’s made. Booker, who finished with 24 points, talked about the team performance after the game.

“I look forward to them when the opportunity presents itself,” said Booker, who finished with 24 points on 9-of-19 shooting in his return after missing the previous four games with a left hamstring strain. “That’s why we work so hard. That’s why we train so hard. I use my imagination in my workouts to put myself in those situations.”

The Phoenix Suns, who have won their last three straight. Look to build off their win streak and take this young team to the top of the western conference. The Dallas Mavericks are now 8-13 and have lost six straight. Josh Richardson was having one of his best games this season, until Devin Booker drained the game-sealer in his mouth.

I’ve been a huge fan of Devin’s game ever since Kentucky, the dude has a clutch gene. Ever since the trade of Chris Paul and hiring of Monty Williams this team is destined to make noise in the western conference. Deandre Ayton needs to find his way and maybe we could be looking at the next Shaq & Kobe type duo.
