On the first drive of the Detroit Lions’ first preseason game against the New England Patriots, one player has apparently gone down due to injury already.
Wide receiver Jermaine Kearse was down on the field after a nine-yard run by Lions running back Ty Johnson was called back due to a holding penalty.
Kearse was down due to a Patriot player falling down behind him while blocking during the run play.
UPDATE: Here’s the video of the injury down below.
The weak of heart shouldn't watch: Kearse's season is likely over. https://t.co/bOBE5iOUzy

Jermaine Kearse is being carted off with a serious looking injury. A few snaps into the first preseason game of the season. That's just brutal.
