It’s a great time to be excited af if you’re a Detroit Pistons fan. It was the first time that Dwane Casey went with all of the young guns as the Starting 5; Killian, Josh Jackson, Saddiq, Sekou, & Stewart. Best believe they made the most of it as The ‘Stawns defeated OKC 110-104. Even though the Thunder are garbage and are now on a 9-game losing streak, that’s not the point. It’s about the development of the young core and them meshing as a squad. You could clearly see that the team chemistry was out there tonight. Sadduq had 18 points with 7 boards, Stew had 15 points with 21 boards, Josh Jackson had 29 points and 7 boards. Killian’s stat sheet won’t blow you away, as he had 9 points, 7 dimes, & 4 boards, but it was obvious that he’s getting more comfortable as THE floor general with filthy dimes like these:

That was probably the best pass I’ve seen a ‘Stawns player make in the past two years. He’s also developing a great chemistry with Isaiah ‘BeefStew’ Stewart’, as it seems almost every game now he has a lob to him:

My biggest worry while Killian was out with injury was that he’d miss crucial time developing on the court, but it’s clear that he made the most of learning and growing while he was sidelined, and after his play since returning with still 16 games left to play I’m very happy now. This young core is already starting to click now, just imagine how good they will be after finishing out the rest of the season, a normal off-season, and plus adding a top-5 in the draft (hopefully). The Pistons haters have been officially warned…
