To put the finishing touches on their 2022 NFL Draft selections, the Detroit Lions focused on the secondary for their pick at No. 237 in the seventh round as they selected Arizona State defensive back Chase Lucas.
Though he was picked at the age of 25, Lucas would be joining a young, but improving defensive back corps that has a good mix of veterans and rookies added to their corps.
The former Arizona State Sun Devil will join up with cornerbacks Amani Oruwariye, Jeff Okudah, AJ Parker, Jerry Jacobs, Mike Hughes and Ifeatu Melifonwu, and satieties Tracy Walker, Will Harris, DeShon Elliott, and fellow Lions draft pick Kerby Joseph.
