Detroit Trades Back with Eagles, Selects Oklahoma State Linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez at No. 188 Overall

Written by Nate

Just after selecting Virginia Tech tight end James Mitchell at No. 177, the Detroit Lions made with a Philadelphia Eagles to move down the order in the sixth round.

With that pick at No. 188, the Lions went on to pick linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez out of Oklahoma State.

Rodriguez will be joining a linebacking corps that looks to field veteran players even with a mix of young guys in the process.

He will join the likes of Alex Anzalone, Derrick Barnes, Jarrad Davis, and Chris Board as part of the (on paper) improved defense through the draft.
