Detroit Tigers Legend And “All-Star” Player Found Dead!

Written by Chris Powers

The year of 2021 has not been exceptionally well to professional athletes. For whatever reason, it seems like we have seen more athletes die in 2021 than ever before. Every week it seems like we are reporting on the loss of an athlete, whether it bein the NFL, NHL, NBA or MLB.

Unfortunately, sad news comes out of the Detroit Tigers organization. It was announced a couple of weeks ago that former Tigers catcher Bill Freehan passed away. Freehan was an 11 time All-Star, five time golden glove winner, and an integral part of 1968 World Series winning Detroit Tigers.

In other Detroit Tigers news, father and son duo Cecil and Prince Fielder have a lot to be proud of right now. Cecil is known for being one of the greatest sluggers in Tigers history, and while his son Prince only played for the Tigers for a year, he did quite well for himself during his MLB career. Now it seems that Prince’s son Jaydn is the next Fielder to make a name for himself on the bseeball field. Could we possibly see a third generation Fielder in the MLB a few years down the road? Only time will tell, but in the meantime, check out the video below to see Jadyn’s swing.
