During preseason game #1 for the Red Wings the team out of Detroit showed out getting a 6-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Free-agent signee Dominik Kubalik had two goals and prospect Elmer Soderblom and veteran Steven Kampfer both scored for the Wings. The Wings host the Blackhawks tonight in the second of eight preseason games.
