On Saturday’s broadcast of ESPN College GameDay, the former Michigan WR and current college football analyst took a shot at the second-ranked Buckeyes.

“They’re blowing out inferior opponents,” Howard said. “If they play a team with a pulse, they struggle.”

Desmond Howard never misses a chance to take a shot at the Buckeyes. The former Heisman Trophy winner and Michigan alumni likes to take his jabs at the Wolverines top rival.

The other analysts at the desk pushed back on Howard’s comments. Still, they acknowledged that Ohio State’s toughness is under the microscope after the team looked shaky in performances against Iowa, Penn State and Northwestern.

Kirk Herbstreit, a former Ohio State QB, said that the Buckeyes should focus on building momentum toward their final regular-season game against Michigan.

“To me, it’s more about building to the Michigan game,” he said. “It’s about trying to get their train back on the track because the last three weeks haven’t been there.”
