On December 23rd, Deshazor Everett was speeding 90 in a 45 mph zone. This caused him to lose control of the car and spiral into a tree, killing his girlfriend Olivia Peters. In February he was charged with felony involuntary manslaughter. He has since been released by the Washington Commanders.

Everett will try and prove his innocence claiming he wasn’t speeding or driving recklessly, and that it was just an accident. Olivia Peters was a community worker for underprivileged children. She was a well known and well respected member in Loudon County.

The Washington Commanders the team has yet to comment about his situation. Early speculation is he was just a salary cap casualty as he was released along with many veteran players on the roster.
