Denver Broncos expected to fire Vic Fangio as their head coach next week

Vic Fangio’s time as the head coach of the Denver Broncos is likely coming to an end.

The Broncos, who are playing their Week 18 game on Saturday against the Kansas City Chiefs, are expected to part ways with Fangio as their head coach.

Since taking over as the Denver head coach, Fangio is 19-29 in three seasons and never had a winning season in that time.

The 63-year-old has been a long-time defensive coordinator in the NFL; he was the Carolina Panthers initial defensive coordinator in 1995 under Dom Capers. If Fangio doesn’t get a chance to be a head coach again in 2022, he’ll likely get offers to be a d=team’s defensive coordinator.

Aside from the Panthers, Fangio has been the defensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears.
