After accepting the Head Coaching role over the weekend, Deion Sanders took to the stage for his opening press conference Sunday afternoon.

Coach Prime took the job following three very successful seasons at HBCU Jackson State. With the Tigers, he went 27-5, twice running through his conference schedule with a perfect 8-0 mark. After going 11-2 in 2021, JSU posted an undefeated 12-0 record this past year.

Sanders takes over a program in Boulder that went just 1-11 this past season. Overall, Colorado has posted 15 losing seasons in their last 17 years.

On Sunday, Deion announced that his son Shedeur Sanders will be the Buffaloes’ starting QB in 2023. Here’s what he had to say in his introductory conference.

Shedeur Sanders threw for more than 3,400 yards while adding another 175 yards on the ground. He threw 36 touchdowns to just six picks while completing 70% of his passes this past season.
