Earlier this evening in a game between the Atlanta Braves and the Philadelphia Phillies, there was a highly controversial call at home plate that resulted in the Phillies defeating the Braves by one run. If you watched the video below, you can clearly see the runner Alec Bohm was out at home. His foot literally never touched home plate.

From that point forward, President of Barstool Sports, Dave Portnoy went on a rampage on Twitter calling out MLB and going as far as insinuating that Major League Baseball is rigged.

In my humble estimation, it was just a horribly called play at the plate. It’s one of those calls whereby the Umpire will review it later (if he hasn’t already) and may even publicly apologize for the bad call. Portnoy however, seems to think different and decided to spend the rest of his evening watching bowling because he was so distraught over the incident. Why? Because according to him, it is the only sport left that is pure and true.
