On Sunday night in an NBA playoff game between the Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets, Kyrie Irving had a water bottle thrown at him by an unruly fan. Irving clearly had the right to be upset about the situation, and even went as far as saying the fan was racist in comments after the game.
Barstool Sports President Dave Portnoy had quite a bit to say about Kyrie during his podcast earlier today. Irving, a former player of the Boston Celtics, made his return to the Garden as part of the Nets and went as far as stomping on the Celtics logo which drew ire out of many fans and players.
Check out the video below to see what Portnoy had to say on the subject. Dave does not hold back at all, and his lanauge in the video gets pretty graphic.
Speaking of Irving’s disrespectful act last night, retired NBA player and former Boston Celtic Kevin Garnett was not happy at all with Kyrie’s actions. While what Irving did was very disrespectful, Garnett as not exactly tasteful in his actions throughout his NBA career. While in this instance Garnett was not wrong, it came across as a bit hypocritical. For anyone unaware of how Garnett acted on the court during his tenure with the NBA, it’s worth Googling a bit.
Anyhow, you can see below what Garnett had to say about Kyrie.
