I’m sure that anybody reading this likely know who Jason Kidd is. But for those of you who don’t, I’ll help you out a little bit.
Playing point guard in the NBA, Kidd was a 10-time NBA All-Star, a five-time All-NBA First Team member, and a nine-time NBA All-Defensive Team member. He won an NBA championship in 2011 as a member of the Dallas Mavericks and was a two-time gold medal winner in the Olympics with the U.S. national team in 2000 and 2008. He was inducted as a player into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. During his time in the NBA as a player, Kidd played for the Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, New Jersey (now Brooklyn) Nets and the New York Knicks.
In 2013, Kidd was hired to be the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets. His tenure was short lived, as he then became the coach of the Milwaukee Bucks the following year in 2014. After spending four years with the Bucks, he then took on an Assistant Coaching role with the Los Angeles Lakers from 2019-2021. Just recently, Kidd was hired by the Dallas Mavericks as their head coach in 2021.
While Kidd has accomplished a lot on the court, he did all of us a favor by introducing us to his daughter, Cheyenne Kidd. If you’ve never seen Cheyenne before, you are definitely going to want to scroll down and see what she’s all about.
