You won’t have the Buffalo Police Department’s Emergency Response Team to kick around anymore. Following the suspension of officers for bouncing 75-year-old protestor Martin Gugino off the sidewalk like a basketball, the officers walked out.
According to WIVB TV City of Buffalo Mayor has the following to say:
“The City of Buffalo is aware of developments related to the work assignments of certain members of the Buffalo police force. At this time, we can confirm that contingency plans are in place to maintain police services and ensure public safety within our community. The Buffalo police continue to actively work with the New York State Police and other cooperating agencies.”

Erie County (where the City of Buffalo is located) Executive Mark Polancarz commented ““If they resigned, I’m exceptionally disappointed by it because it indicates to me that they did not see anything wrong with the actions last night,”
This temper tantrum is the latest episode in the history of Buffalo’s Finest, a police force known for corruption, incompetence, and brutality. Every city should back up its police but when there’s wrongdoing, fellow officers should stand up for what’s right, not condone brutality. That’s a major reason why George Floyd was murdered and people began protesting-it’s business as usual for the boys in blue. If these crybaby cops want to resign, they should turn in their badges and take a stand for the right to crack skulls.
