With exactly two months left until the 2022 NFL Draft, plans and suggestions are underway for the 2024 Draft.

In a tweet by Rachel Hopmeyer, Green Bay Packers team president Mark Murphy has stated the NFL has narrowed down to three cities on who will host that years’s Draft. Those cities that are still in the running include Green Bay, Washington, DC, and Detroit.

Detroit Lions president Rod Wood said last year that the city was still in the mix for a future Draft sites, and still remains optimistic.

“We’re still very much in the mix,” Wood said via DetroitSportsPodcast and Sports Illustrated.

“Obviously, there’s been a rescheduling of the draft, given what happened last year. Vegas is gonna get slotted back in, and I’m pretty sure this year’s draft is gonna be in Cleveland with fairly large, socially distanced in-person gatherings. We’re hoping to be a serious contender for the 2024 draft, and we’re still in the mix for that.”

It’s very possible that Detroit can secure the Draft location for 2024, but there’s a sharp feeling that it will likely end up in Green Bay or Washington, DC, due to location, teams’ histories and prestige, and the amount of amenities and restaurants that will be offered there. But we will see.

This year’s draft will be held in Las Vegas (rescheduled site from 2020 due to the COVID-19) pandemic, while the 2023 NFL Draft will be held in Kansas City.
