Nearing the end of the second quarter against the Michigan Wolverines, the Nebraska Cornhuskers were on their way to score their first points in the game. However, one player had a painful way to get a first down on that drive.
In the video clip below, Cornhuskers wide receiver Alante Brown caught a pass for the first down and wanted to get an extra yard or two by hurdling over Wolverines corner Mike Sainristil.
That turned out into a bad idea.
Brown tried to clear the defender, but gets hit with a nut shot by Sainristil’s helmet and lands on the back of his neck. The big news is that Alante popped right back up for the next play like it was nothing.
That sequence even left Nebraska Barstool’s account baffled.
Glad Brown was able to walk and be in the next snap, that play ended uglier than it should be. But it is the price players pay just to get mentioned in the highlight reel for the weekend.
