Corey Kluber No-Hits His Former Team

Written by Nick30muench

Kluber has been hot and cold for this Yankees team in his 11th MLB season. On Wednesday night Corey Kluber tossed a no-hit gem against his former ballclub the Rangers, throwing 9 strikeouts while only walking one. Heres the final out of the game:

Kluber was one walk away from perfection, walking Charlie Culberson on 4 pitches in the 3rd inning. This is the first Yankees no hitter thrown since 1999, when David Cone threw a perfect game against the Montreal Expos in 1999.

Kluber is known for not showing emotion and being poised in every situation. As anyone would expect a pitcher to celebrate and smile during their post game interview, here’s Kluber, mere minutes after recording the final out.

The Yankees are now 4th in the AL East, however, they are only one game back of first place. The Bronx Bombers matchup tomorrow again against the Rangers at 2:05 PM eastern time.
