Conor McGregor is Feeling Confident Ahead of UFC 257

Written by Noah Gagnon

Conor McGregor is set to make his UFC return in just under three weeks when he takes on Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 in Fight Island. This hasn’t really been the typical McGregor lead up in terms of trash talk and/or dolly throwing, so fans really haven’t been able to get inside the head of the Irishman. Luckily for us, he provided some insight in this tweet:

I mean, wow. If that doesn’t get you going I don’t know what will. Something about the use of the word ‘promise’ there is just so powerful. Don’t get me wrong, McGregor’s eaten his own shit talk on many occasions inside the cage, but this one feels different.

McGregor has talked virtually no shit this entire camp. In fact, he’s been oddly friendly and borderline homosexual with Poirier, so this slight display of confidence speaks volumes to how Conor’s feeling. McGregor first round KO, then onto Khabib.
