The Indianapolis Colts have given star RB Jonathan Taylor permission to seek a trade, as per Ian Rapoport.

It’s being reported that the Colts asking price is steep but that there is interest from around the league.

Taylor made a request last month for the Colts to trade him. Owner Jim Irsay had initially said that he would not grant the request, but apparently he’s had a change of heart.

Taylor is going into the final year of his rookie contract. He wanted to negotiate an extension, but the Colts seemed to have no interested in engaging in talks about a new deal.

The 24 year-old Taylor is coming off an injury plagued 2022 season. In week 15, he suffered a high ankle sprainand was placed on injured reserve. Taylor finished the year with 861 rushing yards and four touchdowns through 11 games.

In 2021, Taylor led the NFL in rushing yards ( 1,811 and rushing touchdowns (18). He also had 40 catches for 360 yards and 2 receiving touchdowns.
