Cody Bellinger’s clutch hit sends the Los Angeles Dodgers back to the NLCS (Video)

For the fourth time in five years, the Los Angeles Dodgers are back in the National League Championship Series.

On Thursday night, Game 5 was taking place at Oracle Park between the Dodgers and San Francisco Giants and it was the Dodgers who got the better of their bitter rivals.

In the top of the ninth inning, Cody Bellinger, who many considered to have a down season, came up with this clutch RBI single to break a 1-1 tie.

Instead of gambling with the bullpen, Dave Roberts decided to send in one of his aces in Max Scherzer to close out the game and series. And he did.

The Dodgers now have a re-match with the Atlanta Braves in the NLCS, as that was the championship series from 2020; the Dodgers won 4-3 in an epic series.

Even though the Dodgers won 106 games, because they are the Wild Card team, the Braves have home field advantage and will host Game 1 of the NLCS starting on Saturday night.
