We had a mini-brawl that happened between two of the prominent players for the Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Guardians in Cleveland.
Via a video post on X, White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson went into a fight with Guardians slugger Jose Ramirez after Jose slid into second base under Anderson’s legs.
Anderson showed a little dismay as Ramirez asked for a hand up, and then the two players decided to drop hands before their teams stepped in.
In another set of videos on X, you can see Ramirez’s right hand strikes Anderson in the jaw as both players exchanged hands. Anderson winded up getting knocked down after that punch.
Arguably the best fight we seen in baseball since the Amir Garrett/Reds-Pirates brawl back in 2019, and the best punch since Rougned Odor’s to Jose Bautista.
Best chance that both players will be suspended, but that fight gave us great entertainment in the 2023 MLB season.
