Cleveland Browns cornerback Greg Newsome II was robbed at gunpoint, with the perpetrators making off with his car and jewelry, as per Browns Digest’s Brandon Little.

This incident marks the third time in just a matter of days that Browns players have been targeted by criminals. Demetric Felton had his car stolen on Sunday.

Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson had his truck stolen from a North Olmsted Mercedes-Benz dealership on Jan. 14.

Newsome was a first-round pick by the Browns in the 2021 NFL draft. He has appeared in 27 games over the past two seasons and is an intricate part of the Browns defense.

Newsome and Felton faced life-threatening scares that go beyond the scope of football. The Cleveland Browns as an organization take immediate steps to enhance security measures and provide support to their players.
