It has been reported that Notre Dame defensive coordinator, Clark Lea, will fill Vanderbilt’s open head coaching job next season.

Lea played football for a bit at Vandy and has twice lead the Irish defense in seasons where the team went undefeated in the regular season.

Lea was an obvious choice for Vanderbilt.

Lea will be tasked with making a perennial SEC bottom feeder and making them competitive in the nations’s (usually) toughest conference.

Despite the reports, Lea will still lead Notre Dame’s defense until the end of the season, as the team is looking to make a national title run.
