Will Chuck Liddell’s name be added to the growing number of MMA stars who have crossed over into the world of sports entertainment?

During a recent interview with TMZ, the UFC Hall of Famer and former lightweight champion confirmed his retirement “for now.” Liddell also expressed interest in possibly competing in front of a different audience: the WWE Universe.

“I have a tremendous respect for pro wrestlers” Liddell stated. “That would be a lot of fun.”

With recent reports that Liddell’s long time UFC rival, Tito Ortiz, has been training in the WWE Performance Center, it would be interesting to see if we could have another rematch in the squared circle rather than the octagon. What are your thoughts? Do you enjoy seeing the MMA stars crossover or is this another case of past-their-prime athletes taking away positions from the younger generation?
