The 2022 Academy Awards will be without question the most talked about Oscar show in history, for one sine reason.
Will Smith assaulted Chris Rock on stage for making a joke about Smith’s wife.
Shortly after the slap heard round the world, Rock commented on the matter saying “it was a G.I. Jane joke.” He then later stated “this was the greatest television show in history.”
Despite being clearly stunned after Smith slapped him across the face, Rock maintained his composure and was able to continue on with the show.
