Chris Pratt Wants To Fight Dave Bautista: “I Think I Could Take You”

Fans will have to wait another two years until Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 3.

That is the bad news here. The good news is that we have plenty of Marvel content to hold us over. Black Widow is released in theaters this upcoming weekend. Disney+ has been crushing it with the new Loki series (didn’t care much for the entire Winter Soldier thing) and WandaVision. Make no mistake, this stuff isn’t going away anytime soon. Marvel will always be in the news cycle and thanks to Chris Pratt, we have a new story to talk about.

While on James Corden’s Late Late Show, he dropped quite the bombshell about his Guardians co-star Dave Bautista:

“I would text people, and I’m blackout, have no idea what I’m texting people, on like an Ambien. It was like: ‘Dave, I want to wrestle you. I want to wrestle you. No one needs to know, but I just want to know. I think I could take you. I think I could wrestle you, bro. Like collegiate rules — no elbows, no knees. I just want to feel the power. Dave would kill me. He is by far the toughest dude in all of Hollywood.”

Now, let’s break this down point by point here as this is quite the interesting quote.

First off, if you are blacked out on an Ambien, wow.

Secondly, this is like drunk texting your ex or something when you go out to a bar. Put your phone away! Throw your phone across the room before taking an Ambien or burying yourself in a bottle or whatever you are doing! Nothing good can come of drunk texting or feeling froggy when you take an Ambien.

Third – Dave would absolutely crush Chris. I am not just saying this because I am a WWE fan or have seen Bautista actually step up and have an actual MMA fight. He did amazing things in that world, retired and is now taking the Hollywood world by storm. Why I am picking Bautista is just because I have two eyes. Size is NOT everything ( or so says my girlfriend) but in this case, yeah. He would crush him like a bug regardless or what ‘rules’ are used.

Fourthly, luckily, Pratt was just being sarcastic here. Nothing serious at all. Just two buddies messing around, as the two have come good friends since filming began years ago. As he admitted, “Dave would kill me.” Yes, he would. I did like the ‘toughest dude in all of Hollywood’ line. Perhaps that could be trademarked? Take that nickname now sir! It is great and can be marketed.

All jokes aside, these two are hilarious together in their Marvel roles, and the chemistry is obvious. On screen and off, it seems they have a ton of fun with one another. I love it. Until then Chris, don’t go around challenging The Animal to a wrestling match. We need you healthy and in one piece for Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 3!
