According to CBS Sports NFL insider Josina Anderson, the Chiefs are not currently pursuing a trade for 49ers star wide receiver Deebo Samuel. She said that the team is “focused on the draft.”

She also added that she spoke with someone within the Jets organization, and the Jets believe that the 49ers will not trade Samuel due to a “King’s ransom” asking price.

Did the Jets call on Deebo Samuel?

I cannot confirm anything on who has called San Francisco regarding Deebo Samuel, but it does seem like the Jets know that the asking price is very high. How would they know that? Maybe it’s because they had previously called on his availability? That is something we don’t know for sure yet, but as the off-season unravels, and getting closer and closer to draft day, we are bound to know the future of Samuel at some point. Remember, just because a player requests a trade, doesn’t mean that they will be traded. According to Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network, he was told that is doesn’t seem likely that the team moves on from Deebo.
