Los Angeles Chargers young safety Nasir Adderley has announced his sudden retirement from the NFL.
The 25 year-old Adderley has played four seasons in the NFL. He was a second-round pick in the 2019 draft out of Delaware.
Last season, Adderley had a career-high two interceptions and 62 tackles for the Chargers. He finishes his NFL career with 232 tackles and three interceptions.
Adderley cited his health and wellbeing as a key reason for the retirement.
He is a distant cousin of Hall of Fame defensive back Herb Adderley.
