Los Angeles Chargers star pass rusher Joey Bosa has risked the wrath of the NFL after launching a verbal attack on the officials in the wake of his team’s heartbreaking playoff defeat.

Bosa and the Chargers were victims of a remarkable 27-point comeback by the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he believes that they were not helped by multiple penalty calls from the officials.

Bosa’s fury reached boiling point late on when he was caught on camera smashing his helmet to the turf after he believed a false start penalty was missed, which then led to an unsportsmanlike conduct call, which the Jaguars took advantage of with a successful two-point conversion attempt.

In the locker room post-game, Bosa was still simmering and he let out his anger to reporters by claiming he is “sick of these f***ing people”, in reference to the officials.

“It’s a heated game, I’m hurting out there, I’m playing with half a leg, I’m getting dragged to the ground,” he began. “Maybe some of them weren’t as blatant as I thought, but I just think there needs to be more accountability.

‘If I say something to them I get a $40,000 fine but if they blow a call that ruins an entire team’s season, they’re probably back in the locker room like “Haha, got that a**hole, got him 15 yards, what a loser.”

“I guarantee that’s what they’re f***ing talking about in the back. I’m sick of those f***ing people.”

The Chargers were called for seven penalties in the game, while Jacksonville was only called for three.

In his third game since returning from a 12-game stint on injured reserve, Bosa had only one tackle and zero quarterback pressures, both tied for the fewest in his career.
