Ex-NFL star WR Chad Johnson spread holiday cheer on Thursday, leaving a very generous tip at a steakhouse in Florida.
Johnson dined at the Longhorn Steakhouse in Pembroke Pines on Thursday night and left a massive tip to ensure that his waitress, Valerie, will have a Merry Christmas.
Johnson shared a screenshot of his bill on Twitter. The meal set him back $81.35. His tip was a lot more than that. Johnson tipped Valerie $1,000 for what we could assume was wonderful service. He signed the receipt “Merry Christmas.”
Johnson is known as a big tipper. In May 2020, he left a four-figure tip at the Havana’s restaurant just outside of Fort Lauderdale. The restaurant had just reopened after COVID-19. Johnson spent $37 at the establishment.
“Congrats on re-opening,” he wrote on his bill. “Sorry about the pandemic. Hope this helps. I LOVE YOU.”
