Celtics vs. Pacers: Game 4

Written by Connor McLoughlin

SWEEEEP!!!! The Boston Celtics have swept the Indiana Pacers in 4 games to advance to the second round of the playoffs. While it looks like the Celtics are going to face off against the Milwaukee Bucks in the next round, let’s enjoy our first-round sweep before we possibly lose again the Greek Freak 😬

Players of the game were Gordon Hayward had 20 points today and Jayson Tatum and Marcus Morris Sr. both had 18 points as well. Now, it wasn’t going to be the end of the world if we had lost this game because we were already up three games to nothing, but I do believe this works to our advantage in the next round so that the Celtics learn from their mistakes and they will be able to execute better next week.

Although the Celtics were down at the end of the first quarter and half, they kicked it up next gear to be able to come away with the win. During the third quarter however, three pointers were being shot like they were going pout of style; Hayward/ Kyrie/ Tatum/ Morris, you name it, they probably threw a three.

I think this goes back to what Kyrie said a few weeks ago while the regular season was finishing up, something about how this team is going to a be a lot different in the playoffs because that’s where it matters. First of all, yes that does apply, but also it only applies if you make it to the playoffs… With how bad the Celtics did this season I wouldn’t be saying something along those lines, but hey, The Celtics swept and that’s all I care about tbh 🤷🏻‍♂️

Shout out Bruins for forcing a game 7 against the Toronto Maple Leafs, that game will be in Boston on Tuesday. And also shout out to the Red Sox for winning against the Tampa Bay Rays in the 11th inning. It was a very Boston Easter this year and for that I am grateful 🤪
