Boston Celtics

Celtics Can’t Rein Mavs

Written by Connor McLoughlin

Final score of 113-104, the Boston Celtics could not get a winning streak going as they fell short to the Dallas Mavericks and their powerhouse of players, J.J. Barea, DeAndre Jordan and Luka Dončić just to name a few. Saw a good amount of turnovers and missed three pointers tonight, which I believe to be the two most important factors to be affecting this Celtics team.

What is concerning is that Gordon Hayward was out with an ankle injury and towards the end of the game tonight, Jaylen Brown got an injury as well, but Brad Stevens didn’t give an update after the game; so, who knows if either player will attend New Orleans against the Pelicans on Monday 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m pretty much very concerned about this Celtics team now because of the tension between the players and their attitudes towards the game. “It’s like déjà vu” and “There is a lack of effort out on the court” are just a few of Marcus Smarts comments in his post-game interview. This is gonna reflect badly on the team and I think Kyrie is gonna confront Smart BIG TIME within the week 😱 Granted, Tatum did put up 21 points tonight, so I doubt Smart was referring to him.

We’ll see how this road trip ends on Monday night anyways.
