Miami Hurricanes quarterback Tyler Van Dyke is a college football player to watch this season. The sophomore began last season as a backup. The Canes starting quarterback got hurt early in the season and Van Dyke stepped in and started the final nine games. Van Dyke earned ACC Rookie of the Year honors after throwing for 2,931 yards with 25 touchdown passes and 6 interceptions.
Tyler Van Dyke is a prototype NFL QB. He has good size, a great arm and sneaky mobility. I believe that he is the most talented Hurricane QB, since Vinny Testaverde. He can be the kind of player to lead Miami back into a top program again. Van Dyke ended the season with six straight 300 yard passing performances.
The Miami Hurricanes are a team to watch this year. With Tyler Van Dyke and new head coach Mario Cristobal, they could return to the glory days of Hurricane football.
