According to ProFootballNetwork’s Insider Mike Kaye, former Washington State University wide receiver Calvin Jackson Jr., will try out for the Jets this weekend and then move onto a tryout with the Dolphins next week.

Jackson Jr., who had 66 catches for 987 yards and seven touchdowns during the 2021 season, is reported to have turned down other rookie camp invites in order to stay inside the AFC East. He averaged 15 yards per catch last season which makes him a nice vertical threat.

Jackson appeared on “Last Chance U” and could be looking to land with the Jets to re-unite with 2018 “Last Chance U” player Jermaine Johnson, who was drafted 26th overall by the Jets in this years draft.
